A little history about the lake.......In 1972 Lake Anna was formed for the purpose of supporting the Virginia Dominion Nuclear Power Plant. There are two reactors located at the plant site about mid lake on the east side. Did you know there is a Private Side and a Public side?The lake is separated by three dikes at the south east portion of the lake. This area is approximately 4500 acres of water, more than enough to boat, fish and play in. Public boat traffic cannot enter the private side from the public side due to the dikes.
